THREE CAPES TRACK

The Tasman National Park in all her overwhelming beauty. Where weather battered freestanding pillars of granite rise up out of the waves and tempt you out to the edge of the cliff. As a wise one once said; “It’s not the fear of falling, it’s the fear that I might jump…”

The 48km Three Capes Track is infamously booked out years in advance, and quite honestly the hype and the crowds almost turned me away. But Sam and I cracked it. Cape Hauy can be accessed via Fortescue Bay and is an easy day walk (recommend aiming for sunrise or sunset to avoid the peak traffic). Cape Pillar (also accessible by Fortescue Bay) is considerably further in distance but an epic candidate for a trail run.
