FRENCHMAN’S CAP

“You cannot always stay on the summits. You have to come down again… So what is the point? Only this: what is above knows what is below, what is below doesn’t know what is above… There is an art to finding your way in the lower regions by the memory of what you have seen when you were higher up. When you can no longer see, you can at least still know.”

Escaped to the summit of Frenchman’s Cap for a breather. Quickly learning that time spent in the wilds of Earth brings unmeasurable solace. Without these moments, it is so easy to lose your footing in this increasingly broken world. And a daunting mountain like this beauty, dressed up in snow, brings things into perspective pretty quickly. Mountain’s have a lot to teach and Frenchman’s Cap was no exception. Thankful as always.
